Job Description
• Manage all accounting transactions of the hospital
• Use quick books and other accounting software to prepare company accounts
• Prepare budget forecasts for regularly purchased items so that they are supplied on time and changes in pricing can be tracked
• Publish financial statements for the year on time
• Prepare daily income and expense statement in a timely manner
• Reconcile accounts payable and receivable
• Ensure timely bank payments and follow up and receivables
• Compute taxes and prepare tax returns on time
• Ensure a proper filing system for all matters handled
• Manage balance sheets and profit/loss statements
• Report on the company’s financial health and liquidity by having proper documentation of income and expenditure and what items maybe bleeding cash
• Audit financial transactions and documents
• Reinforce financial data confidentiality and conduct database backups when necessary
• Comply with financial policies and regulations and keep updated on all change
• Compute and compile HMO bills on a daily basis and ensure bills are delivered on monthly
• Ensure all pending bills are followed up and settled
• Liaise with auditors, customers to ensure bill collection and smooth relationship
• Advice management on any financial and monetary matters for the improvement of the organization
• Maintain petty cash flow and records
• Include under taxes, personal and company remittance on timely basis
• Ensure prompt payment of staff pension deductions and documentation
• Prepare staff salary payment schedule on a timely basis
• Any other duties that may be assigned by the Chief Operating Officer

Qualifications
• Must possess a B.Sc in Accounting, Finance or any relevant Degree
• Must have 3 years work experience as Accountant
• Must possess excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including the Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
• Experience with general ledger functions
• Must have hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks;
• Must have advanced MS Excel skills
• Must have strong attention to details and good analytical skills
• Additional certification (ICAN, ACCA, etc) is a plus.
• Must be resident in Lagos State.
