Job Title: Mechanic Technician, FPSO

Location: Nigeria

Overall Job Purpose
• Responsible for the mechanical maintenance of all equipment and systems of the FPSO under the direction of the Mechanical Supervisor, ensuring that maintenance activities are performed correctly, timely and in an efficient manner.

Core Responsibilities

• Assist and carry out maintenance activities so as to ensure the safe and efficient functioning of all plant and all machinery on facility under Lead Mechanic guidance, ensuring that all procedure and guidance are following up all the time.
• Contribute with performing any additional task compatible with the professional training requested by RPE or Maintenance Superintendent.
• Contribute with the perfect functioning of the equipment reporting deficiencies and malfunctioning, discussing and analyzing technical and spares issues with the Lead Mechanic as well as proposing solutions for the weak points using the technical knowledge and experience.
• Assure that proper information is filled up into the SAP for the tasks performed. Close follow up the plan execution with Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure compliance with COMPANY Permit to Work system, isolation standard being aware about latest revision of PTW and act as Permit user of PTW for the task performed by Mechanical team.
• Ensure that high standard of housekeeping is present in the Mechanical Workshop and as well on the worksite, or other location under Lead Mechanic area responsibility.
• Develop a close working relationship with all Department and other disciplines.
• Contribute in emergency situations, according to Emergency response plan.
• Assist to Maintenance Supervisor to review the Maintenance plan providing inputs for the plan base of technical knowledge and experience.
• Ensure that execution of lubrication task performed by 3rd Party is performed properly, reporting any deficiency to Maintenance Supervisor.
• Ensure that the tools used are in good condition, inform Maintenance Supervisor when any deviation noticed.
• Demonstrate ownership of own training requirements and proactively arrange training to be done/renewed in time as per COMPANY Integrated Management System.

• Ethics and Compliance: In compliance with the Code of Business Conduct and Ethics, as well as with COMPANY Group Ethics and Compliance Policies and Local Procedures, their respective forms, online and live mandatory trainings: is committed to comply with all applicable laws, regulations and obligations and act in accordance with the highest ethical standards and with COMPANY values.
• Emergency Plan: As per indication on the Training Matrix, Emergency Management Guide and Offshore Emergency Management, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Financial and Operational Dimensions / Impact and Decision-making Authority:

• Complies with Authorization Matrix Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
• Work Relationships:
• As per indication on the Organizational Chart, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Job Challenges and Problem Solving:

• Deal with all Operations and Maintenance demands during process plant upsets and shutdowns, due to the reduced number of electricians on board.

Qualifications & Experience Educational Qualification:
• High School Degree - Mandatory.
• Technical School Degree - Expected.

• Technical certificates.
• Training: Complies with the Training Matrix and Regulatory and Required by company Training Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).

Relevant Experience:
• 5 - 10 years work experience
• Previous experience leading teams in an equivalent position in FPSOs.

• Fluent English – Mandatory.
• French – Expected.

• Intermediate Level: Office package (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Project).
• Knowledge of Computerized Planned Maintenance System as AMOS / MAXIMO / SAP / PROP etc.

Working Conditions:
• Complies with safety and occupational health conditions for the job position according to the Occupational Health Management Procedure, available in the Integrated Management System (IMS).
